Winner of the 2024 Emily Crocker Emerging Composer Competition, this piece, with it's laid-back Latin style, expresses the struggle of a young prince as he moves between a dream-world and reality. Vocals and accompaniment (piano, string bass, and percussion) enhance the dramatic flair of the piece. 

Voicing: TBB with Piano Clarinet, Optional Violin and Tambourine

This setting of the Israeli folk song offers developing tenor-bass choirs a different take on the classic round. It offers rhythmic challenges and mixed meters along with some chromatic maneuverings and yet employs appropriate vocal ranges for maturing singers. The instrumentation for clarinet, violin, and tambourine add a true authenticity to this wonderful arrangement.
